Context
Given the current climate change scenarios, the Adaptive Management methodology offers a particularly advantageous approach, as it assumes the uncertainty and variability of natural processes and, therefore, the need for continuous learning for more effective management measures in the face of highly changing scenarios, like the current one. This adaptive management scheme also strengthens the interaction between various actors and interest groups around these spaces.

Environmental experts from the Biological Station of Doñana (CSIC), the universities of Granada, the regional government of Andalusia, the Spanish Geological and Mining Institute, as well as experts in Nature-based Solutions from ������ϲʿ�������ֳ�ֱ�� will discuss the most suitable management interventions to preserve the services and benefits provided by nature to society, which are currently threatened by the effects of climate change. ������ϲʿ�������ֳ�ֱ�� Eastern Europe and Central Asia, as well as the ������ϲʿ�������ֳ�ֱ�� Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation, will participate in the event, alongside the Europarc Foundation, the Malaga province council and other LIFE projects.

LIFE Adaptamed

During the event, various manuals will be presented, among others, on governance for adaptation to climate change in natural spaces and oak forest management, as well as a computer application designed to support decision-making for the naturalization of pine-tree forests: DiverPine.

Led by the regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of Andalusia and with the support of other six institutional partners, LIFE Adaptamed project has worked to protect the ecosystem services of the national parks in Spain of Cabo de Gata, Doñana and Sierra Nevada from the effects of climate change.
