Island voices - island choices : developing strategies for living with rapid ecosystem change in small islands
Islands are among the richest, most diverse ecosystems on the planet. Today, in the face of growing threats such as climate change, they are also among the most vulnerable. The initiative examined the socioeconomic and environmental challenges facing islands, and the efforts over the past 20 years within the international community to address these challenges.
