In this context, the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 World Commission on Environmental Law, in close collaboration with its Climate Change Specialist Group (CCSG), organized the side-event entitled 鈥Role and regulation of nature-based solutions, including the role of carbon markets鈥 on 12 December (4-6pm) at the Carlos III University Madrid, during COP 25.

Professor Christina Voigt, who has been recently elected as a member of the Paris Agreement鈥檚 Committee to Facilitate Implementation and Promote Compliance (Compliance Committee), chaired the event. The panelists addressed cross-cutting legal themes and tools, calling attention to need for a paradigm shift in face of a climate emergency. COP 25 was held in Madrid, Spain, (from 02 to 15 December 2019), to discuss important measures to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, among other issues.听

The event emphasized that safe operating space for humanity is at cross-roads, while the interconnected climate and biodiversity crises escalate to an unprecedented level. The messages from civil society and the scientific community are clear: there is no time to wait and cross-scale transformative action is urgently needed.
