This 10th session of the IPBES Plenary will be focused on the adoption of the IPBES Thematic Assessment of Invasive Alien Species.

This assessment is particularly important to ������ϲʿ�������ֳ�ֱ��, given ������ϲʿ�������ֳ�ֱ��’s long-standing engagement in invasive alien species issues, in particular through the ������ϲʿ�������ֳ�ֱ�� SSC Invasive Species Specialist Group. ������ϲʿ�������ֳ�ֱ�� maintains the global Environmental Impact Classification for Alien Taxa (EICAT) standard for measuring invasive species impacts, as well as the Global Invasive Species Database, the Global Register of Introduced and Invasive Species, as well as the Sustainable Development Goal Indicator 15.8.1 on invasive species policy response.

Invasive Asian hornets, which have been spreading throughout Europe, are predators of native honey bees, threatening honey production.

Stakeholder Day
