ReSea Quarter 3 Newsletter

This quarter, ReSea has made substantial strides in our collaborative efforts to protect and restore marine ecosystems in the five project countries. By working closely with governments, civil society organizations, and local communities, we’re making significant contributions to achieving national goals and fulfilling international commitments.

We have been actively involved in capacity building around Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for climate adaptation. ReSea has been instrumental in supporting the effective management and expansion of Locally Managed Marine Areas (LMMAs) in our project countries. In collaboration with local stakeholders, we've identified sustainable blue economy opportunities that can contribute to economic growth while minimizing environmental impacts.

To facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices, ReSea has organized peer learning visits between project countries. These visits allow stakeholders to learn from each other's experiences, strengthen partnerships, and identify potential areas for collaboration.

Building strong relationships with local communities is essential for successful interventions. We have been actively involved in community engagement activities, including training sessions and awareness campaigns. By involving local people in decision-making processes, we're ensuring that conservation efforts are aligned with their needs and priorities.

Our commitment

With the support of Global Affairs Canada, ReSea remains dedicated to enhancing the physical and socio-economic resilience of coastal communities in the five project countries through collaborative partnerships and innovative solutions. By working together with governments, civil society organizations, and local communities, we are creating a more sustainable future for nature and people.
