Dr Matthew GOLLOCK
Red List Authority Coordinator
Matthew has worked at ZSL since 2008 and oversees the running and development of a number of ZSL’s aquatic conservation projects. These include research within the BIOT Marine Reserve, the EDGE Sharks project and leading on the programme of work relating to the conservation of anguillid eels. Matthew has been working in the field of fish biology and conservation for over 15 years. He gained his doctorate studying the effects of an invasive parasite on European eels, and continues to work at the forefront of the conservation of this species and anguillids more generally, including chairing the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Anguillid Eel Specialist Group. Ms Charlotte PIKE
Red List Authority Coordinator

My previous experience within the Marine and Freshwater team at ZSL focused on the coordination of multidisciplinary conservation and research projects. I have experience assisting the successful delivery of projects employing telemetry and filming to better understand the drivers of fish movement and behaviour, particularly for Anguillid eels and sea trout. I also have experience on projects working to improve our understanding and the conservation of elasmobranchs, particularly focussed on angel sharks, across the East Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. I am currently working within the Digital team at The Fred Hollows Foundation.
