Mr Juan HERRERO
Juan HERRERO (Rome, Italy). Associate Professor at the University of Saragossa, Spain, where he teaches Ecology and related subjects as Wildlife, Environmental Education and Protected Areas. His field of expertise is wildlife ecology and management and focuses on large mammals. He is deeply involved in long term monitoring of Pyrenean chamois, Iberian wild goat, wild boar and red deer in mountain environments and collaborates in advisory boards of Game Reserves. Currently he is the co-chair of the Caprinae Specialist Group of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥).

I work in the Nature Conservation Foundation as a Senior Scientist, and am fascinated by the 'mountain monarchs' of Eurasia. I have been working on their ecology and integrated conservation over large landscapes in the Himalaya and Central Asia for about three decades. I am also the Co-Chair of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥s Caprinae Specialist Group.
