Call for Applications: WIOCOR Seagrass Grants in the Western Indian Ocean

The Great Blue Wall Initiative is pleased to invite eligible applicants, local stakeholders and actors, to apply for the WIOCOR seagrass grants.Ìý

Recognising that the Western Indian Ocean is home to some of the world's most important seagrass habitats, the Western Indian Ocean Coastal and OCean Resilience (WIOCOR) project is supporting the development of a regional network of local actors who are leading positive change on marine and coastal ecosystems, particularly on seagrass.Ìý

With the support of the French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM), we are delighted to announce that we will provide up to $1 million in grants for locally-driven projects and actions on seagrass and blue economy inÌýKenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, Comoros and Mozambique.Ìý

Please submit your completed application form and all supporting documents to the instructed email address by no later than 23.59, East Africa time, on 15 November 2024.ÌýÌý
