A Voice for Nature #22

The highlight of the past month is theÌýÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Global Standard for Nature-based SolutionsÌýthat offers a rigorous framework to help avoid any misuse and take these solutions from the local to a global scale. The new release of theÌýÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Red List of Threatened SpeciesÌýrevealed that the European Hamster could go extinct in the next 30 years. We congratulate colleagues in the Russian Federation and Serbia their firstÌýUNESCO Global GeoparkÌýdesignations. This is great recognition for unique natural and cultural sites and it will hopefully inspire further nominations. We would also like to congratulate the Government of Uzbekistan for making a big step forward towards achieving global biodiversity targets.
