Resolutions promoted by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ members in the Mediterranean region
In light of the postponement of the World Conservation Congress, an electronic vote held last months of 2020 allowed Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Members to approve 109 motions on urgent issues affecting the current loss of biodiversity. In the Mediterranean region, Nature-based Solutions, water spring ecosystems and invasive alien species were some of the main topics of the motions, which now enter in force as resolutions and recommendations.
The Mediterranean Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Membres were very active and they promoted 32 motions. All were approved electronically and 5 motions are still pending of the final vote during the celebration of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ World Conservation Congress now scheduled for 3 - 11 September 2021 in Marseille.
