Group leadership
Dr Michael RUGGERI
I have a background in environmental sciences, agriculture, and rural development, focusing on land use dynamics, socio-economic systems, and biodiversity conservation. I have developed experience and grown a strong interest in scenario building and analysis, identifying pathways for socio-economic development, biodiversity restoration, and climate action. I am also passionate about participatory approaches, creating roadmaps that integrate diverse perspectives, including those of farmers, youth, and early-career researchers. Currently, I work as a researcher at Oxford University, contributing to conservation efforts compatible with sustainable resource use. Additionally, I co-coordinate GYBN Europe, mobilising young people and promoting biodiversity literacy.
CEM YPN Activities

Task Force on Intergenerational Partnership
Inspired by 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 Resolution 4.098 on Intergenerational Partnership, members of young professionals groups across Commissions joined together with several senior colleagues to form the Task Force in September 2011 to promote youth engagement and intergenerational partnership in support of the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播鈥檚 vision of a "just world that values and conserves biodiversity."
A year later, it had grown to over 100 diverse members from more than 40 countries around the world, representing all parts of the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 family and partners. Since the Congress in Jeju, South Korea, much of the Task Force's work is based on Resolution 008 on Increasing Youth Engagement and Intergenerational Partnership across and through the Union as a platform.
