MISSION
Foster conservation and management of three species of Asian rhinos and their habitats.
Specialist Group work
AsRSG exists to promote the conservation of the three endangered rhino species in Asia – the Javan, Sumatran, and Greater One-horned rhinos.
The AsRSG holds regular meetings to review the status of rhino populations in Asia and to develop recommendations for protecting and conserving priority populations. It has also developed an Asian Rhino Conservation Plan for range countries.
To inform conservation efforts, AsRSG assesses species for the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Red List of Threatened Species.
