Objectives

  • To assess, monitor and disseminate the conservation status of the Cuban flora.
  • To analyse the threats to the conservation of Cuban flora
  • Facilitate and develop conservation actions and research that will have a positive impact on Cuban plant populations.
  • Establish collaborative links with institutions, entities and individuals involved in conservation and management
  • Provide advice on national and international decisions and policies that guarantee the conservation of Cuba's flora and its habitats.
  • Support and promote environmental education applied to conservation.

Specialist Group work

The conservation status of at least 80% of the Cuban flora will be appropriately documented.聽A network of plant conservationists with the support of the local communities will be conducting actions to reduce the extinction risk of native plant species and recover their populations across the country.

The group managed ten conservation initiatives linked to the recovery of 17 species and their habitats.

To inform conservation efforts, CPSG assesses species for the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 Red List of Threatened Species.
