The Marine Conservation Committee supports, enhances and mobilises expertise in marine species conservation for a better future. Its mandate is to ensure that decisions taken on the future of marine species are directed at long-term population health and based on sound technical knowledge. Specifically, it helps and links volunteer experts from the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 Species Survival Commission鈥檚 (SSC) network who have special knowledge of particular taxa or of cross-cutting concerns. 聽It also advocates the use of SSC marine knowledge and skills in the broad global community, particularly by policy makers and resource managers.
Marine Conservation Committee work
The MCC supports, connects and promotes expertise in marine species conservation. Its mandate is to ensure that decisions taken on the future of marine species are directed at long-term population health and based on sound technical knowledge.
Promote and mobilise SSC marine expertise to advance ocean conservation globally.
To inform conservation efforts, MCC assesses species for the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 Red List of Threatened Species.
