The GBMF-Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ partnership will help more than 50 countries, worldwide, to improve the effectiveness of their protected and conserved area systems, to the benefit of people and biodiversity. Through mobilizing Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥â€™s flagship Green List criteria for successful conservation outcomes, developed and tested with the Foundation in the Andes-Amazon region, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ and partners will provide a standard by which the new Global Biodiversity Framework Targets and 30x30 ambitions can be fairly and effectively implemented.

The programme will provide technical guidance, capacity development and seed-resources to enable and recognize country-level success in delivering effective area-based conservation, including through leveraging financial commitments and new and additional resources to support national systems of fair and effective protected and conserved areas.
Objective:
By 2030, the GBMF-Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ multi-year strategic partnership successfully scales the Green List Standard to at least 1,000 sites with network and regional approach across areas of importance for…
By 2030, the GBMF-Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ multi-year strategic partnership successfully scales the Green List Standard to at least 1,000 sites with network and regional approach across areas of importance for biodiversity, consolidating the necessary political will and societal buy-in, sustainable finance capacity and effective management of protected and conserved areas to achieve measurable contributions to the targets of the new Global Biodiversity Framework and 30X30 ambitions. The 6 strategic objectives are :
1. Engage countries, experts and practitioners in areas of importance for biodiversity to have a catalytic effect on effective area-based conservation worldwide
2. Generate adequate support to empower the countries, the sites and the experts to achieve success through applying the Green List
3. Identify pathways and milestones to achieve fair and effective conservation success
4. Track progress and return on investment towards an improved governance and management for protected area systems
5. Achieve and assure positive impacts on biodiversity conservation and social equity
6. Recognize success in delivering effective area-based conservation and contribution to regional and global targets
