Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ offers face-to-face and tailor-made training modules and capacity building workshops on various themes relating to environmental law, biodiversity conservation law, protected areas law and governance and water law.

General introductions to various themes including Wildlife Crime, Oceans and Water are available on demand in self-paced courses online.

The Environmental Law Team, the World Commission on Environmental Law and the associated Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Academy of Environmental Law offer multiple opportunities to learn about emerging legal concepts through webinars, lectures and summer courses.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ has developed trainings for various audiences, including judges, policymakers, legal practitioners and students. These includes conservation topics like Protected Area Management, integrated planning for climate change and biodiversity, wildlife crime, financing conservation, oceans governance, and water governance and diplomacy.

Aside from training events, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ also offers learning resources, like toolkits, guidelines, pre-made learning modules, and case studies. These resources provide the knowledge and information for interested individuals to develop and test their understanding and capacities on environmental law and governance.

Currently available online learning courses:

In this course, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of poaching and illegal wildlife trade, its widespread consequences for biodiversity and the legal implications, from the supply and demand perspectives.
The course includes the role of international agreements in addressing illegal wildlife trade and provide case law analysis from three illegal wildlife trade ‘hotspots’, Cameroon, the Republic of Congo and China.
