Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Commission Statement on sustainable use of wild living resources
Resolution 1.39 ‘Sustainable Use Initiative’ adopted by the 1st Session of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ World Conservation Congress (October 2000), requested the Species Survival Commission to develop urgently a short guidance on sustainable use.
"Conservation of biological diversity is central to the mission of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥, and accordingly Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ recommends that decisions of whether to use, or not to use, wild living resources should be consistent with this aim."
