Effectively managing French Polynesia's vast distances of marine protected areas is a massive challenge, but there have been creative solutions to help with the scale of the work to be done.

A new tool, SAGE, is designed to be relatively low-cost, for rapid assessment over one to three days or as part of a longer progress. The methodology draws on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Good Governance principles and is being developed for Green List candidate sites, as well as other areas.
