In 1997 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ launched an important new temperate and boreal forest programme. This arborvitæ supplement introduced the ecology and status of the boreal forests, summarises some of the main threats, and proposes key elements in a conservation strategy.
