On July 30, there was a series of competitions between 18 teams from Holcim’s sites including HCMC, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and Kien Giang. Three teams made it to the final round, which was held on July 31. The winning teams were:

• 1st prize: Earth Hour, District 2 in HCMC

• 3rd prize: Green Ocean, Kien Luong in Kien Giang

The game-show was marked by high levels of energy and enthusiasm. ϲʿֱֳ’s Jake Brunner gave a short talk on what the 2011 campaign had achieved, the winning entry from an essay writing competition (which has been posted in ϲʿֱֳ’s web site), and ϲʿֱֳ’s commitment to supporting Holcim with the 2012 campaign, which will be the fourth in a row. The Summer Campaign is part of a broader cooperation between ϲʿֱֳ and Holcim that includes support to the establishment of two new nature reserves in Kien Giang to offset the impacts of Holcim’s quarrying operations.
