With a population of almost 70 million, biodiversity and natural resources have played a vital role in supporting local livelihoods and the country鈥檚 economic development. In response to biodiversity loss from poaching, forest fires, livestock overgrazing, and industrial pollution, the government has increased investment in natural resource conservation and environmental management.
