Tribute to Ifereimi Dau
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Mr Ifereimi Dau, the Senior Project Officer of our Climate Change Team. Mr Dau passed away peacefully at his residence at 6:30am on Thursday morning, 4 August.
Dau was not just a co-worker but also a family member and a friend to many of us. Most of us would refer to him as our living encyclopedia for his vast experience, wisdom, and knowledge. Dau was someone who hardly said ‘No’ when one would ask for help.
Hailing from Koro island, he was a respected member of his community, professional sphere and was dearly loved by his family.
Dau is survived by his loving wife, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
We remember Dau’s family in our prayers as they go through this very difficult time.
