Juan HERRERO (Rome, Italy). Associate Professor at the University of Saragossa, Spain, where he teaches Ecology and related subjects as Wildlife, Environmental Education and Protected Areas. His field of expertise is wildlife ecology and management and focuses on large mammals. He is deeply involved in long term monitoring of Pyrenean chamois, Iberian wild goat, wild boar and red deer in mountain environments and collaborates in advisory boards of Game Reserves. Currently he is the co-chair of the Caprinae Specialist Group of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播).

CSG is composed of a network of volunteer experts working on the ecology, behavior, taxonomy, conservation and management of wild Caprinae (wild sheep, goats, goats-antelopes, muskox and allies) from around the world.听

Mission
We aim to promote the conservation of Caprinae and their habitat, promote research on all aspects of Caprinae biology, including the conservation of mountain ecosystems, and provide advice on the biology and conservation of Caprinae to governments, NGOs and researchers.
Specialist Group work
Promotion, participation and endorsement of actions to improve the status of Caprinae species as well as their habitat conditions, in balance with coexisting natural predators.
Promoting information exchange through international contacts of specialists, interest groups and agencies dedicated to the conservation of wild Caprinae.
CSG assesses species for the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 Red List of Threatened Species to inform conservation efforts.
